Hello! My name is Debra Thivierge McFadden. I’m the woman behind DTM Virtual Services.
I understand how much your store means to you and how hard you’ve worked to get where you are. You’re understandably concerned about turning over any aspects of your business to someone else, even though you may definitely need the help. So let me tell you about myself … I want you to get to know me.
I taught high school science … everything from AP Biology to 8th grade physical science, along with Environmental Science, and most recently Living Environment … for 31 years. I got hired where I did my student teaching and never taught anywhere else. I just retired in June, 2018. I’ve mentored 13 student teachers along the way and served on more committees than I can count.
I opened my TpT store in 2012 but never did much with it beyond posting 4 or 5 products. I was just too busy at school and at the time was going through some pretty heavy changes in my personal life. It wasn’t until I planned my retirement that I decided I wanted to devote a lot more time to my store and to start a blog.
I’ve also discovered that I LOVE the routine parts of running my store! I know it probably sounds strange, but I really enjoy the tasks like writing descriptions, making product covers, etc. And my writing is proven … I’ve written for some online magazines and for a year or so was part of a writing team and earning pretty good money.
And now … I’ve niched down my VA offerings to Pinterest! I’m definitely a little obsessed with Pinterest and have taken several courses for my own store marketing and just recently finished a VERY detailed and involved course to help me offer Pinterest Virtual Assistant services to my clients.
So the thought occurred to me that maybe I could help other TpT sellers (we’re “teacherpreneurs”) with that part of their businesses … the mundane stuff that people may not have a lot of time for. That way they could do the product-creation part and let me handle Pinterest! To be honest, I didn’t even know that Virtual Assistants were a “thing” until I started looking into it a bit!
I’ve taken a course and completed training. I’m not saying I’ll have all the answers but I WILL always do my best to find out! Since I’m now retired, time is not a constraint and my focus is on my clients and their needs. I still work on my store and my blog, but I do that work around the needs of my clients. THEY come first!
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope it helped you to feel more comfortable with me and what I can help you with.
If you have any questions at all, please contact me via the button below. I’ll also be happy to schedule an online meeting so that we can chat and you can tell me about your business needs. Looking forward to meeting you!
